For those of you who found your way here because you know the risk we face, or at least suspect it, but you really don't know where to start I'll share with you my Top 10 recommendations. Take what you like and dismiss what you don't.

1. Get an Alabama Pistol Permit/Concealed Carry Permit from your county Sheriff. I recommend doing the full 5 years.

2. Get a good, reliable pistol that you can depend on. Preferably something you can conceal but as long as you can carry it and use it that's all that matters. It doesn't have to be expensive or fancy, but it does have to work for you. Get a GOOD holster for the pistol. One that fits it properly and provides some kind of positive retention. DO NOT get a generic soft holster from the local thrift store. Learn how to properly and safely handle and use that pistol. Train with it, then train with it some more, and finally, keep training with it. Carry the pistol with you at all times, everywhere you can lawfully carry it. It doesn't do you any good sitting at home in the safe or locked in your car.

3. Look into Self Defense Insurance. BamaCarry has a great deal with SDF (https://www.selfdefensefund.com/) available to their members. AMCON offers insurance through USCCA (https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/).

4. Get a good, reliable rifle and learn how to use it. Rifles are easier to learn and use for home defense. (https://www.personaldefensenetwork.com/video/what-is-the-best-home-defense-rifle-010339/#)

5. Join your local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program (https://www.ready.gov/cert) and/or Neighborhood Watch (https://www.nnw.org/). If there isn’t one for your neighborhood, start one.

6. Get a handheld radio for every member of the household and learn how to use it. Get your Amateur (HAM) Radio Technician license, or at least sign up for the GMRS license, so you can legally use HAM radios on the frequencies needed to communicate with others to practice your skills before you need to use them for an emergency. https://amrron.com/communications-resources/ch3-project/

7. Learn basic first aid and how to deal with traumatic injuries (car accidents, farm accidents, gunshot, stabbing, etc.). Get tourniquets, learn how to use them, and keep one readily available in your car and at home.

8. Have a plan. Train and prepare for disasters now, before they occur. Food, water, ammunition, fuel, medical/first aid, communications, self-defense techniques, team tactics, search & rescue, personal gear, family gear, shelter-in-place supplies, bugout kit, etc. (https://www.ready.gov/plan)

9. Get involved with your local government. All politics are local. You should be on a first name basis with your Mayor, Town/City Councilman, Police Chief, Sheriff, Fire Chief, and Magistrate. Get to know your local first responders (Police, Fire, EMS, etc.).

10. Last but definitely not least: Start buying local, banking local, eating local, and supporting local small businesses, ranches, and farms. If your community is stable and strong economically then it will be better able to resist outside pressure. Support your neighbors and they will be there to support you in times of need.

We need people to fill positions for Area 2 so let me know if anyone would like to volunteer. I have no idea what the workload will be but I can say that many hands make light work so please step up and help out any way you can. I can be reached directly by email at [email protected]

Again, welcome to the world of being an informed, engaged, and prepared American.

It may be laid down, as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even of his personal services to the defence of it... - George Washington

Usurping The United States Constitution 8 of 8

Tom DeWeese of the American Policy Center (https://www.americanpolicy.org/ ) introduces Michael Shaw from Freedom Advocates (https://www.freedomadvocates.org/ ) Mr. Shaw speaks on the UN cancer destroying the United States from within called Agenda 21/Sustainable Development. Whether called Sustainable Development, Comprehensive Planning, Smart Growth, Sustainable Communities, Growth Management, Community Planning, Visioning, 2020 or similar names. These programs were birthed out of the United Nations with sinister goals being implemented nation-wide intended to take our property rights and the freedoms that are associated.

The environmental movement was hijacked several decades ago by globalists with "saving the ecosystem" as their MO and catalyst for achieving their goal. Please share with your family, friends, local government officials, school board members, and the like as the vast majority have absolutely no idea the hidden motives. Subscription Service (Use Coins)

Good morning AMCON Northeast Alabama!

I have converted the American Contingency Northeast Alabama Locals Community to a subscription community meaning that in order to see premium posts and post comments you must be a supporter, just like how the American Contingency and Fieldcraft Survival communities are set up. I've done this for a couple of reasons. First is to enable additional Admin functions that should make it easier to manage as we grow our community and second is to provide a means for people to contribute to the Area 2 fund. As you all know, running any kind of organization takes both time and money. Many people volunteer their time and we need a way for people to be able to chip in in other ways too.

I have set the default subscription to the minimum amount allowed, $2 a month. You can set your subscription amount to more if you want. All funds, minus fees imposed by Locals.com, will be used to support expenses incurred by the American Contingency Northeast Alabama ...
